Flowed down with the brook ofa ravine.
There in a new lot, a small town was built.
The Miwon River flows serenely
And the town is called Ssalan (rice town).
Where the stream is divided, it formed a huge
field of reeds.
The kids joyfully played make-believe war.
During spring, the back ofa hill is
Finely decorated with azaleas.
When the air is blowing with heat in the field,
The maidens of the town go out to pick herbs.
During summer,
The chorus of cicadas entertained the people
of the town all day.
During the fall, the fields became waves of
gold.
During the winter, the kids sled.
When the river thaws out, we enjoyed riding
the iceboat.
