35.AHyssop
In a crack between the rocks
In the districts along the shore of the
Mediterranean,
It took root and grew randomly.
No one pays close attention to it.
Yet, it graciously has the Lord's will.
At the blowing of the sea wind.
Its slender body sways,
Releasing the fresh aroma of its pure leaf!
On the night when the plague of the firstborn's
death swept the land,
When Jesus experienced a great thirst on the
cross,
You stretched out your serving hand diligently.
Now, you are leaning on the Wailing Wall
And collecting the prayers ofthe pilgrims.
You enfold an aching labyrinth.
